Celebrating Our Choir’s Rich Heritage

We are a charitable organization dedicated to advancing musical appreciation in the community by offering performances and encouraging participation in choral singing.

Symfonia has earned numerous awards, securing first, second, and third places in various competitions.

The choir was twice honored with the Cardinal Hlond Trophy in the tri-annual competition organized by the Polish Singers Alliance of North America.

Here are some of the notable Great Gala Concerts performed by Symfonia:

  • In October 2019, we organized a concert celebrating the 200th birthday of our national opera composer, Stanisław Moniuszko. The event was a remarkable success.
  • In 1994, at the McMillan Theatre in Toronto, we celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Canadian Polish Congress.
  • At Mohawk College in Hamilton, we performed in honor of Canada’s 125th Birthday.
  • We also participated in celebrations for the City of Hamilton’s 150th Birthday.
  • In 2006, Symfonia took part in the International Medial Concert in Laval, Montreal.

Other significant performances include the Polish national opera Halka and the oratorio Widma, both composed by Stanisław Moniuszko.

In 2011 and 2016, Symfonia proudly marked its 60th and 65th anniversaries with concerts and banquets held in Toronto and Burlington.

In 2017, Symfonia performed the oratorio Jesus, We Trust in You in Brampton and Burlington.

In 2018, Symfonia presented Gala Concerts celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Poland’s Independence:

  • At the Art Gallery in Hamilton
  • Several events at the Polish Legion Hall

Additionally, we perform annually on Independence Day, November 11th, and on the anniversary of the Polish Constitution on May 3rd.

-In Oct of 2019 we organized a concert for the 200th Birthday of our national opera composer Stanislaw Moniuszko. It was a very successful event.

In 2011 and in 2016, Symfonia proudly celebrated its 60th and 65th Anniversary by organizing concerts and Banquets in Toronto and Burlington.

In 2017, Symfonia performed “Oratorio – Jesus we trust in you “ in the cities of Brampton and Burlington.

In 2018 Symfonia performed Gala Concerts to celebrate 100th Anniversary of Poland’s Independence
